Stanways Autobodies is an independent accident repair centre in Lytham St Annes. The workshop was established in 1974 and has been family owned and run since 2017. We repair cars, vans and commercial vehicles for UK motor insurers and for private customers, working to BS10125 with zero non-conformances in 2024, 2025 and 2026. We are Hyundai manufacturer approved, we have a structural aluminium bay, and collection and delivery is free within 40 miles.
Panel, MET, paint and apprentice roles at a multi award-winning, purpose-built bodyshop in Lytham St Annes. Hourly pay, no bonus scheme, paid overtime and funded training.

Experienced panel technician for structural and cosmetic repair on steel and aluminium, working to manufacturer methods on the jig and in our dedicated aluminium bay. ATA or equivalent welcome, not essential if your work speaks for itself.
Pay: £44,200 to £48,600 a year (£20 to £22 an hour) on a 42.5 hour week. Wage reflects experience and qualifications.
Strip, fit and diagnostic work on modern vehicles, including ADAS and high-voltage systems. EV and ADAS training is funded for the right person.
Pay: £39,800 to £46,400 a year (£18 to £21 an hour) on a 42.5 hour week. Wage reflects experience and qualifications.
A train-up role, not an experienced hire. You learn to assess damage, write estimates and order parts while working towards your qualification with Blackpool and Fylde College.
Pay: £19,900 to £28,100 a year (£9 to £12.71 an hour) on a 42.5 hour week, rising with experience and qualifications.
Most bodyshops run bonus and efficiency schemes that reward speed over quality. We do not. Everyone is paid an hourly rate, whatever the workload, and the quality of the work is what gets judged.
Our apprentices train with Blackpool and Fylde College and work alongside senior technicians in panel, paint and estimating. In 2026 the business won the ABP Apprentice Mentor of the Year award at the ABP Bodyshop Excellence Awards, which says more about how we train than anything we could write here.
An apprenticeship at Stanways is a real job with a real wage, a day at college and the rest of the week in a workshop that repairs electric, hybrid and aluminium-bodied cars as a matter of course. You finish qualified in a trade that is short of people everywhere.
